Kenneth Theodore Stenseng, 83, of Duluth, Minnesota, and formerly of Hawley, Minnesota, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in his home. Kenneth was born December 21, 1926 to Emil and Mabel Stenseng, in Rushford, Minnesota. Ken was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany following World War II. Following his service to his country he returned to Chicago, Illinois. He married Dorothy Melville on September 14, 1947. They moved to Denver, Colorado in 1960, and then to Hawley, Minnesota in 1980. Dorothy died in 1996 and Ken moved to Duluth in 2006. Ken was employed for over 50 years as a furniture refinisher and woodworker. Over the years he worked for himself and for others repairing and restoring furniture. After retirement he enjoyed working in the shop and continuing his lifelong passion for wood working. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his son, Craig; and his daughter, Linda Bryant. He is survived by his children, Rebecca Richard Horsley of Horace, ND; Robert Deborah Stenseng of Duluth, MN; his grandchildren, Alexandra and Benjamin Stenseng, Sarah Diamond and Amy Smith; and his great-grandchildren, Christian and Aiden Diamond.
