Kermit B. Holte

Kermit B. Holte, 76, of Dilworth, MN, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Kermit was born on April 17, 1930 to Peter and Esther Hanson Holte in Keene Township, MN. He grew up in the Ulen, Hitterdal area. On November 7, 1951 he joined the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on November 11, 1953. On August 27, 1955 he married Norma Hoffman in Durbin, ND, together they had one child, Sherrie. He graduated from NDSSS in Wahpeton, ND in 1957. They lived in Ulen, MN for six years and moved to Dilworth in 1961, where they have been since. Kermit worked for Schrams Body Shop in Detroit Lakes, MN, Mikkelson Body Shop in Hawley, MN and at WW Wallworks in Fargo, ND for 27 years until his retirement in December, 1989. He was a life time member of the Moorhead VFW and a member of the Fargo Eagles.He is survived by his wife, Norma, of 50 years; one daughter, Sherrie Larry Lien, Fargo, ND; two brothers, Dennis Joanne Holte, Hawley, MN, Eugene Freda Holte, Tustin, CA; two sisters, Carol Robin Ritchie, Bothell, WA, Marilyn Norman Selseth, Moorhead, MN; four step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents.
