Kevin Bjorndahl

Kevin Scott Bjorndahl, 59, Hawley, MN, died March 2, 2020, at his home.

Kevin was born February 27, 1961 in Moorhead, MN to Neil and Elsie (Swenson) Bjorndahl.  He graduated from Dilworth High School in 1979.  After graduation he worked as a mechanic at Kmart in Fargo and then went on to excel in several trades including welding and fabricating, woodworking and restoring old cars.  Kevin married Racheal Nelson on August 29, 1981 in Hawley and they had two children together.

Kevin was a perfectionist in everything he did, and was passionate about wood working, having built several homes by himself.  He will always be remembered for his selfless nature and willingness to help everyone else.  His grandchildren were the greatest gift in his life and he treasured every moment with them.

Kevin is survived by his son, Kenneth (Amanda) Bjorndahl, Hawley; daughter, Megan (Monty) Martin, Sabin, MN; mother, Elsie Bjorndahl, Dilworth, MN; grandchildren, Lexi, Blake, Cole, Kendra, Emery, Kinsley and Layne; siblings, Richard Bjorndahl, Moorhead, MN, Lori (Richard) Gruhl, Hawley, MN and Debbie Branden, Dilworth, and his puppy, Roxy.  He was preceded in death by his father, Neil Bjorndahl, and his beloved dogs, Katie 1 and Katie 2.

Memorial Service: Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 A.M., with visitation for one hour before the service, at Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.
