Kevin F. Scufsa

Kevin Scufsa, 41, Fargo , ND , died on Friday, December 10, 2010, in Tampa General Hospital , Tampa , Florida .Kevin was born on May 9, 1969, in Ely , MN , to Rudolph and Susan Karasti Scufsa. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from Ely High School . Kevin married Denise Fettes on August 12, 2000, in Ely where they lived before moving to the Fargo area in 2001. He operated his own construction business, FMA Construction in Fargo . Due to ongoing complications with pulmonary hypertension he retired from construction and had begun a new journey in the culinary arts. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his children and family, being outdoors, and trying out new recipes. With his entrepreneurial spirit, he lived life to the fullest and courageously fought his battle with pulmonary hypertension the same way, on his own terms, seeking out new and alternative therapies.Kevin is survived by his wife, Denise Scufsa, Fargo, ND; four children, Kali, Brady, Parker and Reese Scufsa; parents Susan and Rudolph Scufsa, Ely, MN; one brother Michael; two sisters, Wendy Varey and Amy Robert Kellogg all of Ely, MN; grandmother, Delores Karasti, Winton, MN; and also a large and loving extended family, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
