Kevin L. Wheeler

Kevin Linden Wheeler, age 67 of Kennedy MN, passed away on July 8, 2022 in Fargo, ND unexpectedly.

Kevin was born in Joliet, IL on March 26, 1955 to the parents of Virgil and Patricia Wheeler. He was the oldest of six children and grew up in Sapello, NM. He joined the Army and later served in the National Guard until 1979.

He began working on the Santa Fe Railroad in 1977 which later merged with the Burlington Northern Railroad. In 1999 he moved to Thief River Falls, MN and began working as an Engineer for the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

On July 2, 1982 Kevin married Sheryll Lou Weaver in Raton, NM. They made their home there for 16 years before moving to various places before settling in Thief River Falls, MN in 1999. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and took many trips every summer which included journeys to Florida, Colorado and South Dakota. He happily retired in 2015 from the Canadian Pacific Railroad where he settled in Kennedy, MN with his wife. He enjoyed casual conversation, hobby farming, and his many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Zebulon Linden Wheeler, his brother Kyle Linden Wheeler and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sheryll Wheeler, and daughters Krystol (Lee) Tofstad of Fargo ND, Audra (David) Olson, of Thief River Falls, MN and his sons Wyatt Wheeler (Harley Alby) of Virginia, MN and Marshall Wheeler of Kennedy, MN. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by 11 Grandchildren: Kathryn, David, Myles, Brady, Angel, Carson, Riley, Charlotte, Henry, Forrest and Maren. He also leaves his Brothers and Sisters: Karen, Keith, Kelen and Kris Wheeler Vigil of New Mexico with many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 4, 2022 at 11am at the Viking Covenant Church in Viking, MN address: 111 3rd Ave. 56760
