Kimberlee Jo Illg

Kimberlee Jo Illg was born September 6th, 1986, at St. Mary’s hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. She was the 4th child born to Melissa Jepson and Keith Illg. She entered through the gates of heaven on May 7th, 2021. Kim was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, and friend.

Her passion for life was best expressed through her love of music and dancing, being at the lake, and spending time with family and friends. Kim was blessed with a big heart, a contagious smile and deep love for all creatures. Kimberlee’s biggest pride was her emotional support companion, Lucky, whom she referred to as her “son”.

Kimberlee was preceded in death by her father, Keith Illg; grandparents, Clarence and Eleanora Illg; cousins, Austin and Victoria; and close friend, Jevon. She is survived by her loving mother, Melissa Jepson; siblings, Annette (Paul Malikowski) Illg, Ross Illg, and Garrett (Hayley Nelson) Illg; grandparents, Robert Jepson and Patricia Riddle; best friend, Brittany Knowles; special friend, Ben Perryman; loving dog, Lucky; and a host of other friends and family.

Her caring nature and compassion for others defined her in life and this is how she shall be remembered. We love you, Kim.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021, all day, at Annette’s house, 16433 Highland Drive, Detroit Lakes, MN.
