Kurt M. Wied

Rev. Kurt Milton Wied died Monday, March 5, 2012 surrounded by his family.Kurt was born on January 15, 1945 to Milton and Florence Wied in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1967, and Luther Seminary in 1971. Kurt married Mary Knudsvig in 1967. They served parishes in LaPorte, MN 1971-1976; Wadena, MN 1976-1983; Schwäbisch Hall, Germany 1983-1988; and Nisswa, MN 1988-2004. Kurt enjoyed his children and grandchildren: Elizabeth and Chuck Lund; Katherine and Jeremey Johnson Jacob, Ryan, Abigail and Garrett; Anne and Josh Hayes Hannah and Elijah; Amy and Matt Haas Isaiah.He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Wied, LaPorte and his sister Mary Strohfus of Hastings, MN.
