Kyle Lloyd Thompson, 20, of Glyndon, MN, died Monday, June 22, 2020, as a result of a car accident near Glyndon.
Kyle was born March 2, 2000 in Fargo, ND, to Scott and Ruth (Reed) Thompson. He grew up and attended school in Hawley, MN. From a young age, Kyle was a car enthusiast and he spent countless hours learning everything he could about engines and how they worked. He loved to work with his hands and figure out how to do things and he dreamed of attending college to become a diesel mechanic.
The greatest joy in Kyle’s life was the birth of his son, Leroy Scott Thompson, on August 8, 2018. Kyle will be remembered by his family and friends for his generous, loving heart. He was a unique individual who was often misunderstood and marched to his own drumbeat, but he was also very kind, open-hearted, and outgoing. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for a friend and he loved to engage in conversations with everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Scott and Ruth Thompson, of Glyndon; his fiancé, Mercedes Bartlett and son, Leroy, of Moorhead; his brother, Michael Thompson, of Fargo, ND; his sister, Traci (Matt) Becka and their children, Tailynn and Hennessey, of Sandy, OR; his grandmother, Karen Thompson, of Moorhead; his brother-in-law, Anthony Andrews, and his niece, Raine, of Colorado. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Pauline Reed and Lloyd Thompson, and sister, Tabitha Andrews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2020 beginning at 10:00 A.M. and lasting into the evening at Kyle’s home: 17694 28th Ave N. Glyndon, MN 56547.
