L. Steven Swisher

Steven Swisher, age 65, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Louis Steven Swisher was born on March 9, 1953 in Peoria, IL to Louis John and Eleanor Grace (Hall) Swisher. Steven and family to a farm outside of West Fargo shortly after he was born. When Steven was 5, he moved to Graffton, ND and lived at the Graffton State School. He lived there for many years before moving back to West Fargo to live at Fraser Ltd Group Home.

Steven was loved by his family and friends. Even though he couldn’t talk, he enjoyed teasing his friends and had a great sense of humor. He always had a desire to “get up and go” and a strong will to live.  He enjoyed watching construction, big trucks and tractors, and car racing.

Steven is survived by his sisters, Kathleen (Donald) Runyon of Claremore, OK and Sylvia Swisher of Tulsa, OK; nieces, Sarah (Brian) Stratton of San Angelo, TX and Amy (Aaron) Herron of Claremore, OK; guardian, Margaret Rundlett-Doom with Catholic Charities; and many friends at Fraser.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 5^th, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. There will be a visitation one hour before the service.
