Larry Eggiman, 73, of Fargo, ND died March 2, 2009 at home under the care of Hospice with his family by his side. Larry Allan Eggiman was born November 3, 1935 in Moorhead to Herman and Olive Brendemuhl Eggiman of rural Baker, MN. He graduated from Barnesville High School in 1953 and Wahpeton State School of Science in 1955.Larry married Dorothy Kruger on April 5, 1957. Together they had four sons. On May 18, 1973, he married Mavis Honrud in Moorhead, MN. They lived in Fargo with her three children until 1978 when they moved to Brentwood Acres, north of Moorhead, where they lived for 12 years, returning to Fargo in 1990.He worked as a mechanic in Detroit Lakes and Moorhead until 1957 when he started his career at Fairmont Creamery in Moorhead as a route driver, route foreman, and production supervisor. After the Fairmont Creamery closed in 1980 he was hired by Al Nielsen at Cass Clay Creamery because of his unique system of ordering milk production, retiring in 1997 after being diagnosed with mesothelioma. He then worked for ten years as a van driver for the Fargo Senior Commission, retiring in January 2009. Larry loved working and volunteering in his community, serving as President of the Brentwood Acres Management Corporation, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army Christmas kettle campaign, and was very active with cancer support groups and Hope Lutheran Church, He was well known in his neighborhood, and loved helping his neighbors with odd jobs such as mowing lawns and blowing snow. His favorite pastimes were finding and working on cars for his children and grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, and walking his beloved dog, Buster. He was very much loved and will be missed very much by everyone who knew him. He loved and lived life to the fullest. Larry is survived by his wife, Mavis of Fargo; mother-in-law, Mildred Honrud of Moorhead; five sons, Lonny Kathy Eggiman of Moorhead, Lee Kathy Eggiman of Moorhead, Dana Becky Eggiman of Barnesville, Rod Gale Graphenteen Eggiman of Moorhead, Mark Nicklaus of Fargo; two daughters, Julie Larsen of Fargo, and Nancy Mark Paulson of Wolverton, MN; two sisters, Twila Haldorson of Barnesville, and Mary Tom Krabbenhoft of Kindred; 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wally Eggiman; father-in-law, Orville Honrud; son-in-law, Jerris Larsen; nephews, Chad Krabbenhoft and R. Wayne Honrud; brother-in-law, James Haldorson; sister-in-law, Janell Ordean Honrud; and his dearest canine friend Buster who died in August of 2008.
