Larry D. Dahlsad

Larry D. Dahlsad, 65, of Georgetown, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in his home.

Larry was born on January 6, 1953 in Moorhead, MN, to Vernon and Gladys (Syverson) Dahlsad.  He grew up on the family farm in Georgetown, MN, and attended school at Oak Grove High School in Fargo, ND, where he earned many athletic awards. He graduated in 1971.

After high school he attended Moorhead State College and graduated in 1975 with a degree in accounting.  He worked for the state of Minnesota in St. Paul for two years before moving back to Moorhead to work at Moorhead State.  He decided to move back to the family farm and fell in love with farming.  He loved collecting toy cars and farm equipment and was a Ford Mustang enthusiast.  He spent many winters spear fishing with his father and since retiring from farming, has enjoyed traveling the world.

Larry is survived by his mother; siblings, David (Kathy) Dahlsad, Julie (Larry) Copeland, Timothy (Patricia) Dahlsad and Janet (John) Dallman.

He is preceded in death by his father and nephew, Simon Dahlsad.

Memorials preferred to the American Diabetes Association.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 10-11 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
