Larry D. Vondall

Larry D. Vondall, age 75, of Fargo, ND passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Aneta Park View Health Center, Aneta, ND.

Larry Dwight Vondall was born on March 27, 1945 to Michael and Florence (Martin) Vondall in Belcourt, ND. Larry attended high school and furthered his education at a technical college. Larry spent majority of his career as a millwright working on turbines in nuclear and non-nuclear powerplants where he traveled all over the United States for work. He started at the bottom and with many years of hard work, eventually became a supervisor until his retirement.

Larry was a cowboy at heart and loved spending time on his ranch near Dickinson riding, breaking, and raising horses and colts. He had “busy hands” and enjoyed building, fixing, and welding various projects, especially cars when he was younger. Spending time with his family was important to Larry and he was known for his kind, generous heart and love of helping others. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Larry is survived by his children, Christina Fox and Troy Vondall, and their mother, Phyllis Vondall; step-children, Randy Curtiss, Justin Curtiss, Sherry Parry, and Tana Curtiss; 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Vondall, Sarah Fox, Nichole Chanthanongsy, Starr Fox, and John Fox; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael “Sonny” (Edith) Vondall and John (Charlene) Vondall; sisters, Cecilia Caribou and Mary Jane (Mike) Deschampe; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronny; sister, Loretta; brother-in-law, Gilbert; one great-grandchild; and many aunts and uncles.
