Leona “Lee” Arline Theis

Leona “Lee” A. Theis, 81, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, in Sheyenne Crossings Care Center, West Fargo, ND.

Lee was born on December 22, 1937, to Edwin and Anna (Hjartass) Brorby near Northwood, ND. She moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area where she met Francis Theis. They were united in marriage on November 23, 1963 in Dilworth, MN. They resided in Moorhead where they raised their family of six children.

Lee was a member of the VFW post in Dilworth, MN. She enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved her family and enjoyed spending her time with them.

Lee is survived by her husband, Francis; children, Katherine Burtwick, Brian (Deb) Theis, Mark (Jill) Theis, Scott (Shelley) Theis, Jeff (Mary Beth) Theis, and Lori Theis; grandchildren, Justin Theis, Andrew Theis, Adam Anderson, Jenson Theis, Tarin Theis, and Caleb Theis; great-grandson, Jax Theis; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Oral, Victor, Earnest, Glenn, and Eldred; and sister, Arveide Korsgarden.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Final resting place will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
