LeRoy E. Huseby passed away peacefully May 25th at Sanford Health’s Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. LeRoy (Lee) Huseby was born on November 28, 1940, to Conrad and Frances (Rust) Huseby at rural Barnesville, MN.
He graduated from Barnesville High School in 1958. After high school he went to basic training and joined the Air Force National Guard.
In 1963, he attended College of Automation in Des Moines, IA. Following his schooling he took a job with the Air National Guard, Fargo, ND, in Computer Data Services. He served 35 years before retiring.
On August 1, 1964, he married Marjorie Erickson at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville. Together they had four children, Kim (Don) Smith of Oxford, OH, Kelly Huseby of Moorhead, MN, Karla (Brian) Casey of Chandler, AZ, and Kory Huseby of Chandler, AZ.
He also leaves behind a loving and supportive family of one brother and sisters, Erwin (Deb) Huseby, Ardis Stronstad, Irene (Arden) Shores, Connie (Terry) Hauger, Sandy (Craig) Ouse, Julie Balk (Randy Anderson); brother-in-law, Donnie Melaas; many nieces and nephews; and his life long friend and fishing, hunting and bowling buddy, Orland. LeRoy was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Moorhead.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Frances Huseby; sister, Dee Melaas; niece, Heidi Hauger; and brother-in-law, Lowell Balk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Moorhead, or a charity of donor’s choice.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m., in Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
