Leroy O. Jacobson

LeRoy O. Jacobson, 89, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, ND.

LeRoy was born in Wolverton, MN, on December 18, 1923, to Axel and Dorthea Olson Jacobson. He grew up on the family farm and later continued farming on his own in Christine, ND, until retiring in 1978. On January 10, 1987, he married Leona Weidner in Fargo, ND. Together they made their home in Moorhead, MN. Leona died on December 27, 2008. LeRoy was a member at Triumph Lutheran Church in Moorhead.

LeRoy is survived by step-children, David Kathy Weidner, Sabin, MN, Diane Larry Haug, Minot, ND, and Carol Jim Thoreson, Fargo, ND.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and twin brother, Joseph Benjamin.

Funeral: Monday, July 8, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
