Lillian H. Moan, age 95, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.Lillian Harriet Felde was born on March 22, 1912, to Mathias Lars and Borghild Jahr Felde in Barnesville, MN. She grew up and attended school in Barnesville, graduating in 1929. Lillian then attended St. Olaf College, graduating in 1933 with a BA in English and Music. On July 14, 1944, she married John C.H. Moan in Fargo, ND. They lived in South Carolina briefly during World War II. They lived in Moorhead, Orangeburg, NY, and again in Moorhead before moving to Park River, ND, in 1952. John died on November 14, 1982. Lillian moved to Moorhead in 1986 to the Eventide Senior Living Community. She had been a secretary, children's choir director, Eventide choir director and organist, soloist and had sung in choirs and smaller vocal groups and duets with John. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Park River and the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.She is survived by two sons, Greg Rae Moan of Fargo, ND, and Rolf Becky Moan of Palos Park, IL; one daughter, Dikka Ballantine of Seattle, WA; two brothers, Norman Barb Felde and Philip June Felde both of Moorhead, MN; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, George, Maurice and Lorentz Felde; two sisters, Eva Felde and Florence Pratt and two nephews.
