Lillian L. ’Blondie’ Selstedt

Lillian L. "Blondie" Selstedt, 86, of Walcott, ND, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in MeritCare Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, Fargo ND. Lillian Lucille was born December 23, 1923 in Fargo, ND to James and Julia Loberg Anderson. She grew up and attended school in Fargo, graduating from Central High School. On June 27, 1942, she married Arlo Selstedt in Moorhead, MN. They farmed near Walcott until retirement in 1986. Blondie continued to live near Walcott after Arlo's death on August 21, 1987.Blondie loved to garden and mow the lawn, as well as other farm duties. She enjoyed quilting, reading and fishing, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Randy Cindy Selstedt, Walcott, ND and Gary Sherry Selstedt, Horace, ND; three sisters, Gail Jerry Moe, Horace, ND, Mae Alerd Clemenson, Fargo, ND and Cheryl Jones, Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Lorraine Anderson, Littleton, CO; six grandchildren, Anthony Selstedt, Shannon Marnie Selstedt, Meleah Krabbenhoft, Jennifer Holm, Cody Katie Selstedt and BJ Selstedt; and three great-grandchildren, Marie Zeller, Brittny Selstedt and Andrew Krabbenhoft. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arlo; parents, James and Julia Anderson; and four brothers, Warren, Norman, James and Curtis Anderson.
