Linda A. Sauter

Linda A. Sauter, 67, of Georgetown, MN, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in her home surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Linda Ann Olson was born on August 22, 1946 in Fargo, ND to Robert and Judith Holte Olson. She grew up in rural Moorhead, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1964. On November 4, 1967, Linda married Harlan Sauter in Moorhead. They established their home and farmstead near Georgetown MN, where they have since resided.

Linda was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for NDSU’s Dining Services department, retiring in October 2013 after 20 years of service. She was always a very active member of North Buffalo Lutheran Church and the Oak Mound 4-H club.

Linda is survived by her husband, Harlan; two sons, Randy Linda Halverson “Linda #2” of Stillwater, MN and Ryan Sarah Holt of Moorhead, MN; sisters, Phyllis Harry Fillafer of Moorhead, MN and Orpha Poehls of Detroit Lakes, MN; and brother, Robert Olson of Moorhead, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation: Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral Service: Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at North Buffalo Lutheran Church, rural Kragnes, MN.

Interment: Oak Mound Cemetery, Kragnes, MN.
