Linda “LK” Keller, 68 (pronounced forever 29), of West Fargo, ND, formerly Bismarck and Minot, ND, reunited with our heavenly family Thursday, May 19th, 2022. Linda was born in Eastern North Dakota to a compassionate and strong girl who not only brought her into this world but loved her enough to place her in the care of Lutheran Social Services for adoption. The next day she joined her forever family with Harley and Helen Thom, allowing them to share their blessings and love, making them a complete family. Although she was unable to meet anyone from her birth family we are so grateful for the treasure they shared with us.
Linda worked in service to others throughout her life; from those in a recovery facility to families within social services to church bulletins to recipe books and newsletters for groups her family and friends were connected to. She loved to laugh and was quick to forward a giggle worthy meme or heartfelt story. Her love of animals and her ability to gain their trust helped many stray animals, getting them and their litters into adoption facilities. Her gifts in the kitchen didn’t stop with cooking, she was an outstanding baker and exceptional hostess as well. She had so much strength and so much love to give. Whatever you needed she would be your biggest cheerleader but also the voice raised in prayer adding an extra layer of support.
Linda chose cremation based on her belief that once we pass we are instantly returned to The Father, our body here having fulfilled its purpose. Her ashes will be spread in the places she loved the most. She wanted you to take comfort when thinking of her in those rolling hills where she rode horses, by that favorite fishing hole, out where the best morrells appear every spring, on that lovely drive where the trees cover the road or maybe it’s simply at one of your favorite spots together. Remember the beauty of life, take time to seek it out. If there is a special keepsake or memento that would bring you comfort to be reunited with please let family know. We’ll do our best to connect you with it.
What she would want is for each of us is to live a life to our fullest potential. Help be there for others. Be the one to carry light forward. Keep her in your heart as you build new memories to share with her again one day. What an awesome day that will be!
She is survived by husband, Jerome Keller, West Fargo; daughter, Leissa Johnson (Eric), Fargo; numerous extended family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Harley and Helen Thom.
