Linda Masanz

Linda Diane Masanz, age 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday, March 8, 2020.  She was the fun, crazy aunt, Godmother and second Mom to many.

Linda was born in Morris, MN on January 26, 1960, to Ron and Barb Masanz.  Later the family moved to Moorhead, where she graduated from Moorhead High School in 1978.  She then attended nursing school at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, where she earned her LPN nursing degree.  Her nursing career took her to Bottineau, ND, the Twin Cities and later to the Baltimore, MD area.

She found joy in life with friends and family.  Her love and laughter were contagious, especially when singing by the campfire, dancing and spending time at Potato Lake.  Linda also loved her flowers and gardens.

She is survived by her partner, Mike Cox of Flintstone, MD; her parents Ron and Barb Masanz of Park Rapids, MN; her brother, Bob Masanz of Moorhead; sisters Pam (Coughlan) Paul, Mankato, MN; Nancy Krupich (Jim), Christine, ND, Liz Bihrle (Craig), Bismarck, ND; nephew Danny Bihrle (Machen), nieces Laura Bihrle, Ellie Krupich, Sarah Krupich, Alia Coughlan and Tiara Coughlan; and also many Godchildren.

Everyone is invited to thank God for Linda’s life at the Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead.  Visitation will be held before the Mass at 9:30 A.M.

Memorials can be made in Linda’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.  When you’re planting your flowers this spring, plant some in memory of Linda.
