Lisa Arntson

Lisa M. Arntson, 63, of Hitterdal, MN, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Lisa Marie Arntson was born in Mayfield, KY, on April 24, 1955 to Anthony and Mildred (Heskett) Helm.  She grew up in the Chicago/Hammond, Illinois area and graduated from High School in 1973.  She went on to attend business school and after graduating went to work for various businesses in the Chicago area as an administrative assistant.

In 2000, Lisa moved to Park Rapids, MN to be closer to her brother.  She met Gordon Arntson and they were married on April 27, 2002.  Work brought Gordon back to Hitterdal, MN in 2010 where they remained until her passing.

Lisa was passionate about gardening, especially flowers, and loved to watch things grow.  She enjoyed music and could often be found listening to a Cher album.  She and Gordon also enjoyed meeting up with family for weekends at Hungry Man Campground near Park Rapids.

Lisa is survived by her husband; son, Yusef (Samantha) Mohmoud, step-daughters, Bobbie Willette, Maye (Eric) Dumond, Vallee Arntson, and Robyn (Robby) Higgens; 15 grandchildren; and brothers, Tim Helm and James Heskett.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Carl and Donald.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM with a visitation beginning one hour before in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Burial will be in Gran Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Hawley.
