Lisa A. Jenson

Lisa Ann Jenson, 60, of Glyndon, MN passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in the comfort of her home after a nearly 3-year battle with breast cancer.

Lisa was born in Moorhead, MN on May 2, 1963, to Robert Wendt and Virginia Anderson-Mulari (Benke) and grew up in Glyndon, MN. She graduated from Glyndon High School in 1982.

On July 9, 1983, Lisa married Robert Jenson in Hawley, MN. Lisa had a passion for helping others, which was shown by her time serving for several years at Double D Restaurant, as a preschool teacher, paraprofessional at DGF, as well as a CNA for healthcare facilities alongside raising her three children.

Lisa accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and found great joy in spreading the Gospel. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren both near and far. Lisa also loved to travel with her family and was blessed to visit many places abroad, such as France, Mexico, and Nicaragua. The most recent and long-awaited trip was to Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Kentucky with her husband Bob.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Lindsay (Chris) Ortega, Joshua (Rachel) Jenson, and Cody Jenson; grandchildren, Philip, James, Andrew, Lucia, Ian, Madison, Lee, and favorite dog Thor. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Golda Benke, and Ray and Erna Wendt; father, Robert; father-in-law, Oscar Jenson; brother, Brian Wendt; and brother-in-law, Ross Jenson.

A celebration of life service is scheduled at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church in Glyndon, MN on Friday, August 25 at 1:30PM.
