Lisa Miller

Lisa V. Miller, 49, of Dilworth, MN lost her battle with cancer on Friday, March 2, 2012 in her home, with family by her side and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Lisa Vonne Thoreson was born on March 27, 1962 in Minneapolis, MN to Gene and Beverly Skare Thoreson. She grew up in Minneapolis, MN where she attended school. Lisa moved to Dilworth, MN where she raised her family. On May 7, 1988 she married Jeff Miller in Dilworth, MN.Lisa worked at Vanity Warehouse for ten years before working at the US Bank Service Center, where she worked until her illness. She enjoyed crafts, especially making jewelry. Lisa also loved reading, gardening, shopping, baking and spending a lot of time with her family and her grandchildren. She is survived by her parents, Gene Thoreson, Oak Grove, MN and Beverly Thoreson, Fargo, ND; husband, Jeff Miller, Dilworth, MN; two daughters, Amanda Troy Helgeson, Moorhead, MN and Jamie Michael Lenhart, Dilworth, MN; two sons, Ryan Halstad, Dilworth, MN and Dustin Miller, Dilworth, MN; special niece, Sydney Thoreson, Dilworth, MN; brother, Lance Thoreson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Kayla, Casey, Peyton, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Kole, Brooklynn, Alexis, Austin and Damian; and many other family members. Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents and sister, Tami Thoreson.
