Lloyd C. Thorstad

Lloyd C. Thorstad, 94, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013, in Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. Lloyd was born March 6, 1919, in Hatton, ND, to Melvin and Selma Foss Thorstad. He grew up and attended school in Hatton until moving to Clifford, ND, at the age of 20. On April 24, 1940, he married Stella Sorenson. Together they moved to Ada, MN, where they farmed from 1945 – 1949. They later moved to Fargo and he worked at Cass Clay Creamery until retirement. Lloyd was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the accordion, often playing at dances around the area. Lloyd had most recently resided at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. He will be missed.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 73 years, Stella; brother, Wendell Corrine of Fargo; sister, Avis Keonig; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Ervin and Milton; and sister, Janice Pierce.
