Lois A. Bangsberg

Lois A. Bangsberg, 80, of Moorhead, died on Wednesday, February 2, 2005, under Hospice Care in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Lois was born on August 5, 1924 in LaCrosse, WI to Fred and Martha Kowalke. She grew up and attended school in LaCrosse. She married Paul "Bill" Bangsberg on July 6, 1943 in Aurora, IL. They moved back to LaCrosse after WWII. They lived in various Minnesota cities and have resided in Moorhead, MN since 1959.She graduated from Moorhead State University in 1971 with a degree in Education. An active volunteer, she was involved and spearheaded many civic projects in the FM area, and was named Woman of the Year in 1975.She is survived by two daughters, Marti Gene O'Dea, Elk Point, SD; Cindi Bangsberg, Moorhead, MN; one son, T. Jeff Anita Boucher Bangsberg, New Hope, MN; granddaughter Tracy Dax Johnson and great grandsons, Torin and Layne; and many loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one sister. Memorials preferred to Christ the King Church Youth Mission or Courage North.
