Lois M. Bowman

Lois M. Bowman, 97, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Lois was born November 26, 1920, in Battle Creek, NE, to Frank and Camilla (Christiansen) Massman. She grew up and attended school in Battle Creek, where she met her future husband, Dean Bowman. On October 9, 1945, they were married in Omaha, NE. Together they made their home in New York City for a time before moving to Kirksville, MO, and starting a family. They later lived in Germany and in the mid 1950’s settled in Moorhead, MN. Over the years, Lois worked at Concordia College in Moorhead and Gallery 4 in Fargo. She enjoyed playing Bridge and socializing with friends. Most of all, she loved her family, she will be dearly missed.

Lois is survived her sons, Thomas (Regina) Bowman, Steven Bowman; daughter, Sally (Willam) Gordon; grandchildren, Laddie, Buffy, Ty, Joshua, Jacob, Eliana and Irina; great-grandchildren, Payton, Parker and Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; brothers, Edward, Alvin and Frank Massman; and sister, Mildred Massman.

Visitation will be Friday, January 19, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., in Bottolfson Chapel, Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.
