Lois M. Oberg

Lois M. Oberg, 81, Harwood, ND, formerly of Georgetown, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Lois Mae Lewis was born in Fargo, ND, on January 16, 1938 to Rollo and Cora (Winjum) Lewis.  She grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1955.  She then went on to attend Business college.

On October 21, 1960, Lois married Curtis Oberg and helped on the farm while raising their two sons.  After the boys were grown, Lois went back to work in the Dental field as an office manager where she stayed until her retirement in 2014.

Lois enjoyed her North Buffalo Church and circle friends.  She will always be remembered for the special care she took to make the church a beautiful place inside and out.  She was also passionate about gardening, yard work and keeping her flower beds in immaculate condition.  Most of all, Lois loved her grandchildren and great-grandson and enjoyed teaching them how to bake and garden.

Lois is survived by her husband; sons, Chip (Donna) Oberg and Dan Oberg; grandchildren, Buck (Taylor) Oberg, Kelly Oberg, Tyler Oberg, Andrew Oberg and Jack Oberg; great-grandson, Isaiah Oberg; brothers, George (Edna Mae) Lewis, Donald Lewis and Ronald Lewis, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Arzt and Mary Holthe and brothers, Wayne Lewis, Leonard Lewis and Bob Lewis.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for the wonderful care they provided Lois.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at North Buffalo Lutheran Church, Kragnes, MN.

Burial will be in the North Buffalo Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the North Buffalo Cemetery Association.
