Lois Shirley (Adams) Muhle, 93, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020, in Eventide Nursing Home, Moorhead, MN.
Lois was born near Twin Valley, MN, on September 29, 1926, to Milton and Florence (Garner) Adams. She grew up in Felton, MN, and graduated from Felton High School. She was baptized and confirmed and continued her faith in the Lutheran Church. She attended Moorhead State Teachers College (MSUM) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Teaching. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Muhle on December 28, 1949, in Glyndon Lutheran Church. Together, they made their home in various places such as Seattle, WA, Averill, Glyndon, and Moorhead, MN. She taught elementary education for 35 years in Cass Lake, Fergus Falls, Felton, Averill, and Glyndon. Lois and Ken loved spending time together on Big Cormorant Lake at their lake home, and in Arizona and Texas in the winters.
Lois was an active member at Glyndon Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and playing card games, especially solitaire. She loved to decorate her home and plan for the holidays. She was an awesome mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
Lois is survived by her children, Gary Muhle, Omaha, NE, Kathy (Wayne) Kuehl, Audubon, MN, Janet (Chuck) Marks, Belgrade, MN, and Sherri (Jon) Austvold, Spicer, MN; 13 grandchildren: Scott Muhle, Karen (Dustin) Ness, Kyle (Claire) Muhle, Sara (Jason) Weis, Jamie Kuehl, Lindsey (Kevin) Olson, Adam (Kim) Marks, Katie Marks, Abby (Jay) LaPorte, Chase Austvold, Treyton Austvold, Espi Austvold, and Sophia Austvold; 15 great-grandchildren: Ryan, Rowan and Nolan Muhle, Elliot, Flynn, and Ferris Ness, Tanner and Keaton Weis, Tylan, Jozie, and Eli Myklebust, Hanley and Hudson Olson, Dani and Bridger Marks; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ken; parents, Milton and Florence; and siblings, Alice, Darrell, Beulah, Alvin, Lester, Donna, and Jesse.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 3, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., with a visitation one hour prior to the service, at Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN, at a later date.
