Loreta D. Knutson

Loreta D. Knutson, 72, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 in Eventide on Eighth.

Loreta Darlene Knutson was born June 7th, 1943. Her parents, William and Mary Brunson were very excited to welcome their only child to the family farm in Norton, Kansas. As most children do, Loreta grew up quickly and on October 2, 1969 she married, Harold Telfred Knutson.

During their marriage, she and Harold had four children; Harold Albert Jr, Norman Dale, Crystal Ann and Roger Dean.

Loreta spent most of her life working odd jobs here and there to provide for her family. However, her favorite career and the center of her heart, was watching her children grow.

She had a love for music, but old country was her favorite. She enjoyed the outdoors, biking, riding horses and being with family and friends. Loreta had an infectious smile, the warmest hugs and a sense of humor that will forever be cherished by many.

Mom, you will be missed deeply by your children, grandchildren and friends. We know that you are now in God’s loving arms, watching over us still.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 24, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
