Lorraine Finney

Lorraine Finney, 81, of Georgetown, MN, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Lorraine Ziegler was born on September 21, 1931 in Georgetown Township to Carl and Veryle Barclay Ziegler. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated high school in Hendrum, MN. Lorraine married Milton Finney and together they had three sons and a daughter. She stayed home and raised her children until the youngest started school. She then worked at the Georgetown school as a cook, and later at the high school in Hendrum until her retirement.

Lorraine enjoyed the outdoors, birds and gardening. She was a founding member of the Georgetown Garden Club and was a very active member throughout her retirement years.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Jeff Finney, Perley, MN, Wayne Tammy Finney, Georgetown and David Finney, Georgetown; two brothers, Ken “Buzz” Lois Ziegler, Georgetown and William “Bill” Marlis Ziegler, Moorhead; grandchildren, Mark, Matt, Tyler and Dustin Finney; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sophia, Luke, Mitchell and Logan Finney; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Nancy and siblings, Lloyd “Ole”, Robert “Bob”, David “Pedo” and Linda “Toodie”.

Funeral: Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service.

Interment: Kirkebo Lutheran Church Cemetery, Perley, MN.
