Lorraine M. Lunde

Lorraine Mary Ann Klemetson was born on April 24, 1930 to Liaf and Josephine Gunderson Klemetson in Ulen, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Asplund Lutheran Church in Flom, MN. Lorraine attended Becker County District 46 until 8th grade. She continued her education at Ulen High School, graduating in 1948. Upon graduation, Lorraine worked in Detroit Lakes at Graystone Laundry and as a waitress at the Proctor Hotel Café.

Lorraine was united in marriage to Harold Lunde on November 26, 1949 at the First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Lorraine and Harold raised their family on the farm near Lake Park, MN. She was an active member of Lake Park Lutheran Church, serving on the altar guild, church circle and library.
She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, baking, reading Bible verses and birthday club. Most of all she loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities.

Lorraine Mary Ann Lunde, 86, of Lake Park, MN, died Saturday, January 28, 2017, in Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Liaf and Josephine Klemetson; infant son; grandson, Dyson Lunde; brothers, Clinton Klemetson, Harold Klemetson, and Lyle Klemetson; sisters, Eldora Swenson, Eileen Peterson, Janice Hayes and Marlys Hanson.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Harold Lunde; three sons, Gerald Coral Lunde, Bradley Joan Lunde, and Kevin Candace Lunde; brother, Raymond Miller; sister, LaVerne Holmen; grandchildren, Crystal Jeff Asleson, Carmen Jeremy Pachal, Casey Nathan Christensen, Matthew Lunde, Sheena Joshua Rapkin; Tristan Lunde, Bryce Lunde, and Chanel Lunde; great-grandchildren, Riley and Tatum Asleson, Blake and Lexi Pachal, and Chiara Rapkin.

Memorial Gathering will be Friday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., in Lake Park Lutheran Church. Lake Park, MN.

Interment will follow at Lake Park Lutheran Cemetery.
