Lorraine Muhle

Lorraine (Benshoof) Muhle, 94, formerly of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, ND. Lorraine was born on May 23, 1923 in Glyndon, MN, to Charles and Elizabeth (Mockelbost) Benshoof.

Lorraine attended Glyndon school. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Muhle on November 4, 1940 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Together, they had four daughters and Lorraine stayed home to raise them for many years. After raising her daughters, she attended Interstate Business College and began her secretarial work at Glyndon Schools. After her retirement, she enjoyed her remaining years being a grandma and great-grandma.

Lorraine enjoyed partaking in many church activities such as quilting, Circle, and Wings.

Lorraine is survived by her 3 daughters, Marlys Mikkelsen of Moorhead, MN, Cheryl (Gordon) Fjelstad of Kindred, ND, and Nancy (Warren) Pollock of Yakima, WA; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; daughter, Arlett Martinsen; parents, Charles and Elizabeth; son-in-law, Gary Mikkelsen; siblings, Edna Moore, Merle Benshoof, Vivian Krogen, and Evelit Jegtvig.

Visitation will be from 1PM-2PM, followed by the funeral service at 2PM, Monday, April 30^th, 2018, at Glyndon Lutheran Church in Glyndon, MN. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Glyndon.

Lorraine’s family would like to thank the caregivers at Elim Rehab & Care Center and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their exceptional care of Lorraine.
