Louis J. Novotny Jr.

Louis J. Novotny, Jr., 70, of Dilworth, MN, formerly of California, died at home on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Louis was born in Los Angeles, CA, on June 12, 1952, to Louis and Dorothy Novotny. He grew up in Indio, CA, where he graduated from high school. Following high school, Louis began working and over the years spent his career with UPS until retirement. Louis enjoyed time outdoors, fishing and being with family. He loved traveling across the country and to Hawaii to visit friends and looked forward to his annual trip to the Indy 500. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica and guitar, even a little graffiti in Cali with his son. He more recently moved to Dilworth where he has enjoyed the past few years living with close friends Todd and Addison Kleespie. Louis will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love he had for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Joey (Marissa) Novotny; daughter, Melinda (Greg) Ryder; wife, Johnatta Arnett; grandchildren, Amanda, Ashly, David, Nick, Tabitha, Valerie, Lacey and Lyric; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Taylor, Briella, Azaria, Asher, Ayden, Easton and Liam; and niece, Marlene Crespin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Carole Minoli.

A celebration of life will be held July 30th in Hutchinson, MN.
