Louise Remley

Louise Remley, 102, Moorhead, MN, died on Saturday, January 10, 2015, in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND.
Louise Peters was born on July 9, 1912, in Mankato, MN, to John and Louise Koetting Peters. She grew up and attended school in Moorhead and then went to work for her uncle Henry Koetting at Moorhead Bottling.
Louise married Francis I. Remley on October 8, 1936, and they made their home in Moorhead. Francis was Moorhead’s Fire Chief from 1952 until 1975 and so Louise’s contribution was to make the calls to summon all the firemen every time a fire alarm sounded in those years.
Francis died on June 4, 1985.
In 1990, Louise moved to Red Wing, MN, to live with her daughter Mary. She returned to Moorhead in August of 2014.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Katherine David Teslow, Bloomington, MN, Mary David Leiseth, Moorhead, MN, Marilyn Dick Grove, Spokane, WA, and Virginia Darrel Amiot, Eden Prairie, MN; son-in-law, A.K. Kayoum, Mendota Heights, MN; half sisters Jean Bill Albrecht, Seattle, WA, and Gertrude Paul Dwyer, Sun City, AZ; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Carole Kayoum.
Funeral: Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Visitation: Saturday, January 17, 2015, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
