Luverne R. Jensen

Luverne R. Jensen, 88, Dilworth, MN, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015, in Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN.
Luverne was born on January 6, 1927, in Hawley, MN, to Elmer and Esther Alberts Jensen. He grew up and attended school there and then attended the University of Minnesota Crookston for one year. He served in the U.S. Army and then worked in Minot, ND. He returned to Hawley, where he married Elaine Kalheff on August 18, 1964, in Lysne Lutheran Church. They made their home in Dilworth, MN. Luverne had worked at Western Products in Fargo and later drove for Allied Van Lines until retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; son Russel Jensen, Moorhead; daughters Becky Paul Olgeirson Coste, West Fargo, Rachel Wayne Monk Jensen, Fargo, Sheila Travis Matheny Hicks, Fargo, and Shawn Tony Wishinsky, Watford City, ND; six grandchildren, Tony Stumbo, Andy Ginger Stumbo, Destiny Hicks, Mackenzie Hicks, Kaine Sax, and Drake Sax; three great-grandchildren, Anya Stumbo, William Stumbo, and Autumn Rotenberger; sisters Mavis Hienzeroth, Billings, MT, Patricia Kenneth Szymanski, Thief River Falls, MN, Joy Dean Fleming, Mound, MN, and Beryl Fred Janssen, Barnesville, MN.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Carroll and Eddis.
Visitation: Friday, March 6, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. as well as one hour before the funeral, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10:30 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
