Lydia M. Swanson

Lydia M. Swanson, 95, of Moorhead, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Moorhead Healthcare Center, Moorhead, MN.Lydia was born on December 29, 1909 in Baudette, MN to Henrik and Emma Nelson. She grew up and attended school in Alvarado, MN.Lydia managed the Rex Hotel for 14 years until her retirement in 1961.Lydia married Ben Swanson on November 1, 1961 in Milbank, SD.Lydia is survived by her husband Ben Swanson, Moorhead, MN; one daughter, Gladyce Bjelverud, Baudette, MN; one sister, Violet O'Donnell, Le High Acres, FL; and one granddaughter Lori Dino Kulas, Alexandria, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward and Herbert; three sisters, Myrtle Nelson, Helen Mohn , and Elsa Haack; and two infant grandchildren.
