Lydia Neumiller Morlock, age 95, of Moorhead, MN, formerly Carrington, ND, died Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Eventide, Moorhead, MN. Lydia was born June 21, 1913, the second of seventeen children, to John A. and Elizabeth Neumiller, in Wells County North Dakota. She received her elementary education at a rural one-room school in the Sykeston, ND area. As a young woman she assisted with the household chores and caring for the younger children. She also worked for other families in the area as a hired hand doing household chores.On June 4, 1936, Lydia and Paul Morlock were united in marriage; four children were born to this union. They farmed in the Sykeston, ND area until retiring to Carrington, ND in 1972. Paul passed away in January 1993. They were long-time members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Carrington. Lydia entered Eventide in June 1998. Lydia always enjoyed a large flower and vegetable garden, embroidery, crocheting, and reading especially recipes. She also completed several quilts for children and grandchildren.She is survived by son, Harley of Arvada, CO; daughter, Arlene Ken Murray of Moorhead, MN, son-in-law, Gary Leach of Glyndon, MN, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Clarence Ellen Neumiller of Vancouver, WA, Jacob Kay Neumiller of Oak Harbor, WA; sisters, Frieda Kenneth Watson of Carrington, ND, Iola Daryl Rask of Carrington, ND and Alice Riedel of Parkers Prairie, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; son, Kenneth; daughter, Karen Leach; brothers, Rudolph, Albert, Alfred, John, Jr., Lawrence; and sisters, Martha Heinitz, Susie Krause, Bertha Huss, Elsie Schock, Alvina Hoff, and Emma Hoff.
