Magdaline Maggie Silbernagel

Magdaline Ann Silbernagel, 87, of Moorhead, MN, died on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Magdaline was born in Perham, MN, on May 6, 1928, to Joseph and Monica Dombeck Sazama. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Perham. On June 2, 1951, Magdaline married Alfred Silbernagel. Together they made their home in Moorhead. She enjoyed keeping busy and over the years worked at the FM Hotel Treetop Restaurant, Moorhead Public Schools, Minnesota State Community and Technical College and later at the Holiday Inn before retiring. Magdaline also enjoyed playing bingo, quilting, volunteering and was very active in church. She will be dearly missed.

Magdaline is survived by her daughters, Mary Jerrold Naasz of Moorhead, Rita Miller of Fargo, Anna Terry Trautmann of Fargo; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph, Jr. Jewel Sazama; and sister, Rose Raymond Guck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Monica; husband, Alfred; son, Steven; son-in-law, Gary Miller; brother, Bernard: and sister, Laverne.

Visitation: Friday, March 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with prayer service at 7 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, March 12, at 11:00 a.m., in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: Monday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m., in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Dent, MN.
