Marcia A. Paulsen

Marcia Ann Paulsen was born October 21, 1948 in Northwood, ND, to Harold and Mildred Still Paulsen. Marcia passed away on December 22, 2014. She grew up on a farm outside of Finley, ND. She attended Finley School and graduated in 1966 as valedictorian of her class. She attended the North Dakota State School of Science and graduated from there in May 1968 with an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. Marcia began her career as a dental hygienist in Brainerd, MN. She moved to St. Cloud to continue her career. While in St. Cloud she received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. In 1984, she moved to Sabin, MN and worked as a secretary/administrative assistant at several businesses in Moorhead. While living in Sabin, she completed her master’s degree at NDSU. In December 2013, she completed her doctorate degree in Statistics.

Marcia enjoyed reading, playing with her dogs, reading books onto tape for the blind, tutoring and teaching math and statistics and writing computer programs.

Marcia will be remembered and missed by her mother, Mildred Still Paulsen Holm of Moorhead, MN, her sister Mona Paulsen Klein, niece, Carolyn Klein, great-nieces Alexandra and Natasha Klein, great-nephew, Nickolas Klein and great-great-niece Kylee Klein, all of San Antonio, TX.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Paulsen, sister Patricia Paulsen, nephew Alan Klein, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Service: Friday, Jan. 9, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
