Margaret E. Hall, 95, Oxbow, ND, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Mrgaret Elizabeth Sherby was born on July 15, 1910, in Ganonoque, Leeds, Ontario, Canada, to Alfred and Mary Ann Muchmore Sherby. She grew up and attended St. Frederick's school in Pontiac, MI. After completing the ninth grade, it was necessary for her to leave school and go to work to help support the family, due to the death of her father. Margaret married George W. Hall in 1934, and they lived in Pontiac, MI, moved to Chicago, IL, for a brief time, and then returned to Pontiac. When she was 55 years old, Margaret went to work as a bookkeeper at the Lourdes Nursing Home, Waterford, MI, until retiring in 1965. George died on February 5, 1973. She worked for her son Tim in his store "Genius" in Farmington Hills, MI. She moved to Oxbow, ND, in 1983 and worked at Hall GMC with her grandson Scott, in the lawnmower division. She was an avid and accomplished bowler. Margaret was a fiercely independent woman who proudly lived on her own all of her life.She is survived by four sons, Gerald M. Pam Hall, Tyler, TX, R. Dennis Pat Hall, Sacramento, CA, Richard P. Wanda Hall, Oxbow, ND, George Timothy Hall, New York, NY; one daughter, Sandra Mark Nipstad Hall, Fargo, ND; one brother, Raymond Sherby, Michigan; twelve grandchildren, Monte, Scott, Steve, Dan, Dave, and Teresa Hall, Christopher and Tracy Hall; James Shuttleworth, Angela Mald, Nicole Utsch, Erin Hall; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a grandchild, Sandra Hall, and siblings, John Sherby, Mary Hartzman, Bernard Sherby and Edward Sherby.
