Margaret (Hoppe) Lee, 69, Perley, MN, died January 24, 2018, at Essentia Hospital in Fargo.
Margaret Vivian Hoppe was born July 24, 1948, in Fargo, ND, to Frank and Vivian (Quinnild) Hoppe. She grew up on the family farm in Sabin, MN, attended first and second grade at country school, and finished grade school in Comstock, MN. She graduated from high school in Barnesville, MN. After graduation, she began working as a cashier and supervisor for Archie’s in Dilworth, MN, where she met her future husband, Roger Lee. Roger and Margaret were married on March 17, 1995, in Sisseton, SD. They made their home together on their hobby farm near Perley, MN. Margaret enjoyed working in the quality control department at CI Sport in Fargo for 23 years.
Home life was very important to Margaret, and she enjoyed spending time with Roger and their animals on their hobby farm. They enjoyed each other’s company as they took occasional trips to casinos or restaurants. Margaret also loved her flower gardens and took great pride in caring for her yard. When she was younger, she loved spending time with her family at Johnson’s Resort on Lake Lizzie.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Roger, of Perley; brother, Dennis (Mona) Hoppe, of Barnesville; sisters, Lois Williams, of Moorhead, and Joyce (Reese) Cottrell, of Alaska and Florida; uncle, Harold Quinnild; aunt, Darlene Hoppe, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty, and nephew, Michael.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., with a memorial service to begin at 7:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
