Margaret J. Durr, age 63, of Fargo, ND, died of heart failure, Wednesday, November 4, 2009, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Margaret Jane Sivertson was born on January 10, 1946 to Sverre "Swartz" and Olive Kroshus Sivertson in Perley, MN. She grew up and attended school in Perley, graduating from Hendrum High School. In December, 1967 she married Vern Cleveland in Perley. Together they had two children, Chris and Dawn. She was a registered radiography technologist, serving the rural communities of North Dakota and Minnesota by providing mobile mammography services for 7 years. On September 7, 1991, Margaret married Duane Durr in Fargo. She managed a small gift shop and was an administrative assistant for Don's Car Washes. Margaret served on the Board of Directors for Don's Car Washes and was an active volunteer for the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at their lake home on Pelican Lake, enjoyed watching hockey and Bison and Viking football. But most importantly, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Margaret battled multiple health complications due to systemic lupus. She will be missed dearly by those who knew her. Margaret is survived by her husband, Duane Durr of Fargo, ND; son, Chris Denise Cleveland of Belleville, IL; daughter, Dawn Scott Volden of Fargo, ND; step-son, Dan Lynnsey Durr of Fargo, ND; mother, Olive Sivertson of Moorhead, MN; sister, LeeAnn Ronald Guttormson of Borup, MN; eight grandchildren, Elijah Cleveland, Lauren and Morgan Ramos, Atley, Carson and Sawyer Durr and Hunter and Reed Volden as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson, Noah Cleveland.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Red River Zoological Society.
