Marguerite K. Cicero Vik, 75, of Park Rapids, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Villa Maria in Fargo, ND. Pat was born January 4, 1933, in Benoit, AL, to Louie Pete and Hazel Cicero. She graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1952. She met her husband, Roland, while working at the Morrison's Cafeteria in Tuscaloosa. They married in 1953 in Praco, AL. Shortly after her marriage, she worked for the US Air Force at Maxwell AFB as a microfilm technician.Pat and Roland moved to Park Rapids, MN in 1955, where they raised their family. During that time, Pat worked for the school district as a volunteer kindergarten helper, a substitute teacher's aide and in the school office. In addition, she did daycare for several years. She also worked for Gibson Greeting Card Company for a number of years as a merchandiser. Pat was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church teaching Sunday School, Release Time and Vacation Bible School.She had many hobbies including flower and vegetable gardening, reading, charcoal drawing and floral arranging. Pat was a fantastic cook. She particularly liked spending time outside in her yard during the warm months; enjoying her pond, the birds, her plants and spending time on the lake in the houseboat that Roland built. Pat was devoted to friends and family and looked forward every year to escaping the cold with trips to Alabama and Florida. She adored her husband of 53 years, Roland. Pat and Roland have four children, LaDonne Vik Vicky, Moorhead, MN, Erik Vik Joann, Gainesville, GA, Brenda Ronson Kyle, Lake Worth, FL and Vanita Ohlgren Rick Horace, ND.She is survived by grandchildren Taylor Vik, Tennley Vik Eric Astrup, Melissa Kettler Brent, Michael Vik Ashley, Ian Ronson and Lauren Ronson, and two great-grandchildren, Noah Kettler and Lily Kettler, her brother Andrew Pete Cicero Clara, sister-in-law Shirley Fay Cicero, and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roland, sister Hazel "Louise" Martin James, brother Johnny "Buddy" Cicero, and brother James "Jamie" Cicero Shirley Fay.
