Marie K. Zueger

Marie was born October 4, 1955, to Ernest and Alice Roen Moe, in Detroit Lakes, MN. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Lake Park, MN, graduating in 1973. Marie continued her education at Moorhead State University where she received her degree in Finance & Accounting. On August 29, 1981, she married David Zueger in Lake Park. Together they lived in Fargo and Marie worked for Beneficial Finance, and later Dakota Railroad Service. She was transferred to their Lakeville, MN, office in 1986 and continued with them until moving back to Fargo in 1999. Marie most recently had been employed with Eide Bailly in Fargo. Over the years, Marie and David opened their home to foreign exchange students from around the world, participated in Kids in Kinship, Big Brother-Big Sister, and even hosted exchange students from her Alma Mater, Moorhead State. She enjoyed scrap booking, reading and watching movies, but most of all loved her time with her family and cats, Saphire, Ophelia, Misty, Zoe and Cricket. An angel on earth now has her wings and will be dearly missed.Marie is survived by her husband, David; mother, Alice Moe of Lake Park, MN; sister, Patty Wiedewitsch of Callaway, MN; brother, Robert Dixie Moe of Battle Lake, MN; three nieces; three nephews; three grand nieces; a grand nephew; and many friends and co-workers.She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest; and brother-in-law, Bob Wiedewitsch.In lieu of flowers, Marie wishes memorials are sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Caring Bridge, Roger Maris Cancer Center, Gift of Life Transplant House, and Humane Society Fargo-Moorhead.
