Marie L. Schreiner

Marie was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to Robert and Louise (Marchetti) Blitz. She is survived by her husband, Jim Schreiner; sons Peter (Jonette) and Alex; daughter, Samantha Davis (Jeremy); sisters, Kristine (Kris) Shelledy (Kevin) of New Market, AL and Susan Born-Blitz (Kevin) of Prince George, VA; grandchildren, Joshua, Micah and Ezra; eight nephews and nieces; 12 great nephews and nieces and her aunt, Betty Pitsch. Brother-in-law Don Schreiner (Mary Negus) and sister-in-law Molly Schreiner.

Marie was well traveled, growing up in a military family, finally living in Lincoln, Nebraska after her dad’s retirement. She graduated from Lincoln High school. After graduating, Marie worked as a keypunch operator at AC Nielsen. After two years, she went to work for the Burlington Northern railroad as a clerk. When Marie transferred to Alliance, Nebraska she met and married Jim Schreiner. They both transferred to Dilworth, MN. In 1999 Marie and Jim adopted three children from Russia.

Marie was a Godly, strong, beautiful, loving woman with a true heart of gold and forgiving soul. She was caring, compassionate and a good friend. She will be missed but we all rejoice that she is no longer suffering. We can celebrate her life and know she now resides with her heavenly Father, parents, twin siblings, brother Henry, mother and father-in-law, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Being with the Lord is where we all desire to be.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 17 at 2:00 PM, with visitation starting at 1:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
