Marie M. Leiseth

Born on November 16th, 1941 to Fred and Annie Sperling of Dresden, ND. Marie graduated in 1958 as Valedictorian of her high school class in Langdon, ND. Afterwards, she moved to Fargo and went to work at Fire Underwriters, where she met and married Arvid Leiseth in June of 1966 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo. They were married for 49 years and had three children; Jennifer, Justin and Soren. She was very active in the church; teaching Sunday School and being involved in Women’s Church Groups at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. She also worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles in Fargo for 10 years. She is adored by her seven loving grandchildren, and will be greatly missed. She passed away on October 25th, 2015, surrounded by her husband, three children and their immediate families after a long struggle with Cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Arvid Leiseth of Moorhead, MN; daughter, Jennifer Jason Leonardson children Josef, Jonah of New Hope, MN; son, Justin Julie Leiseth children Jacob, Joshua of Crooks, SD and son, Soren Brenda Leiseth children Garret, Ella, Olivia of Crooks, SD; Also survived by her siblings; brother, Louie Sperling, Barstow, CA; sisters, Eileen Wild, Fargo, ND; Clarice Davis, Spokane, WA; Marlys Hudson, Fargo, ND.

She and her family are very grateful for the excellent care she received from the nurses and doctors at both Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD and Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo, ND.
Visitation: Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN, with visitation one hour before.
Interment: Bethel Cemetery, Peever, SD.
