Marie W. Wenner, 78, 312 Dudrey Court, Moorhead, died on Monday, January 3, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Marie W. Wenner was born on November 12, 1926, in Keene Township, near Hawley, MN, to George C. and Mabel K. Tangen Dauner. She grew up and attended country school northwest of Hawley, and graduated from Hawley High School in 1944. She lived in Fargo, ND, for a brief time and worked at Manchester Biscuit before returning home to help on the farm. Marie married Arthur V. Wenner on April 12, 1947, in Hawley Lutheran Church in Hawley, and they made their home in Moorhead. Marie was the Education Director at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead from 1971 until 1973, when she became the Volunteer Coordinator at Trinity, a job she held until retiring in 1993. Marie was an active volunteer, serving as a Camp Fire Girls Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother, volunteering at the Sons of Norway where she edited the monthly newsletter, "The Posten"; volunteering at Lost and Found Ministries and with Trinity Lutheran Church Women. She was involved in the Parkinson's support group at Trinity and served as a docent at the Comstock House in Moorhead.Marie is survived by her husband, Arthur V. Wenner, Moorhead, MN; four sons, Wayne R. Julie, Jamestown, ND, Roger A., Moorhead, MN, Bruce M. Kathy, Blaine, MN, and Brian L. Lori, Moorhead, MN; two daughters, Sandra M. Alex Yeamen, Arlington, VA, and Joan D. Dick Kruse, Fridley, MN; two brothers, Marvin Shirley Dauner, Hawley, MN, and LeRoy Audrey Dauner, Hawley, MN; one sister, Madelyn Elroy Meissner, Hawley, MN; fifteen grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Carlton Sather, Nerstrand, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister LaVerne Sather and an infant sister, Lois.
