Marilyn J. Selseth, 80, of Moorhead, MN died Monday, January 30, 2012 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Marilyn Joyce Holte was born on May 24, 1931 in Keene Township, near Hitterdal, MN, to Peter and Esther Hanson Holte. She grew up in the Hitterdal area where she attended school. On March 25, 1961 she married Norman Selseth in Ulen, MN. They made their home in Moorhead, MN where they raised their four children. Marilyn worked as a phone operator for NW Bell, which later became AT&T. She retired after 38 years. After retiring in 1990, Marilyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends; traveling to California and Washington. Marilyn was a member of the Moorhead VFW Women's Auxillary. Marilyn is survived by three sons, Brad Diane Selseth, Fargo, ND, Barry Selseth, Fargo, ND and Steve Heather Selseth, Moorhead, MN; daughter, Kristi Selseth, Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Peter, Jacob, Hali, Leiton and Boden; two brothers, Gene Freda Holte, Tustin, CA and Dennis Joanne Holte, Hawley, MN; sister, Carol Robin Ritchie, Bothell, WA; sister-in-law, Norma Holte, Moorhead, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Kermit Holte.
