Marilyn S. Johnson

Marilyn S. Johnson, age 70, of Hawley, MN, passed away to our Lord on Friday, July 27, 2012, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.Marilyn was born on August 31, 1941 to Helmer and Edna Anderson Johnson in Hawley, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Highland Grove Lutheran Church in rural Hawley. She grew up and attended school in Hitterdal, graduating in 1959. Marilyn taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir at Highland Grove and most recently, was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Hitterdal. Marilyn worked for Honeywell in Minneapolis, Trans America in Fargo, Sherling Photography in Fargo and most recently, FRS Industries in Fargo before becoming a home-caregiver for her mother. Marilyn was an avid sports fan for her special Ulen-Hitterdal Spartans.She is survived by her brother, Arland Helly Johnson of Hawley, MN; nephews, Scott Heidi Johnson of St. Michael, MN and Jeromy Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; great-nieces, Paige and Isabella; great-nephew, Cory; aunt, Esther Luthi; uncle, Aldwin Ellen Anderson as well as many cousins and her Salem church family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents.
