Marion Wicker Bergseid was called into the arms of Jesus Christ, the Lord, our Savior, on September 5, 2017. She was 88, born on January 25, 1929. In youth she was a cheerleader for Hawley High School during the season they won the State Basketball Championship. Locally over the last few decades she was known for entertaining with song & skits throughout the Cass & Clay county area either solo or with a troupe of friends.
She married, went West, raised her family in Bellevue, Washington. She loved gardening and started the first Garden Club in Bellevue, an idea that took off to beautify many suburban developments on the East Side of Seattle. Marion then returned to Hawley and Rollag where she re-married to Engel Bergseid deceased. She is survived by her son, Arne Moen wife Marjo,, her daughter, Nora Moen, son, James Moen deceased, wife Anne and many grandchildren and great-grand children were given to her to enjoy in this life. Blessedly, a few were there to comfort her in her passing. One of twelve Wicker children she is also survived by her sisters Esther “Essie” and Grace.
A funeral service will be help on Monday, September 11, 2017, at 2:00PM at Rollag Lutheran Church in Rollag, MN, followed by a burial at Rollag Lutheran Church Cemetery.
